Kaimera makes key appointments following Intrepid and Cointreau wins

Independent full-service media agency, Kaimera, has made three key hires following a series of account wins.

The appointments see Anna Magliano join Kaimera as client director, Gareth Kleinman take the role of data and analytics director, and Ashlee Casalini move from Blue 449 – which was recently absorbed into Spark Foundry.

Kaimera’s expansion follows the agency winning key accounts including Intrepid Travel, Cointreau and Caroma.

The agency, founded by former Vizeum managing director, Nick Behr, in 2016 added the new clients to its roster which includes Knight Frank, My Plates, Rivkin, and Amaysim.

Magliano joins Kaimera after seven years with Slingshot where she was most recently business director of the company’s media ventures, while Kleinman was formerly consultative lead at creative tech agency Orchard.

Announcing the appointments, Behr said he believed Kaimera’s wins are a clear signal of the ‘appetite for independents’ in a market largely dominated by holding groups.

“Having spent time on both sides of the fence, I don’t think it’s any wonder clients and talent are gravitating toward the independents,” he said.

“I started Kaimera because I wanted to work in a way that was straightforward, allowed for agility, and enabled us to operate in a completely transparent way with clients, and that’s clearly an ambition they share.

“Independents like us aren’t hamstrung by the layers of complexity that typify the big holding groups, which frees us up to do exactly what’s right by our clients.

“They know precisely what we’re doing, where their money’s being spent, and how it’s working for them. And that’s a powerful point of difference.”
